What:  2012 Staff Preparation Day

Time:  0900-1500

This day will be a chance to meet the staff and a chance to train before Encampment.  It will also be a chance to voice expectations and goals for the upcoming activity.  Keep posted for the Staff Organizational chart.

The 2012 Summer Encampment will be held at McCrady Training Facility in Eastover, SC.  The event will be from 24Jun12-01Jul12 and the cost will be $125.00.  Below are the required documents for the 2012 SCWG Summer Encampment:

Congratulations to the South Carolina Wing Color Guard for competiting in the MER Competition.  The competition was held 20-22 April 2012 in Ft. Pickett, Virginia.  This was the first year that all seven wings brought a competing Color Guard.

The results of the competition were:

Indoor Pratical:  2nd Place

Outdoor Practical:  1st Place

Panel Quiz:  3rd Place   (Ended with a 4-2 record)

Mile Run:  4th Place

Overall the team placed 3rd in the final rankings of the competition.  Good Job Anderson.

Congratulations to C/Col. Jordan Thomas on passing the Spaatz Exam.  This prestigious award is not to be taken lightly because only about .2% of cadets who join C.A.P. make it to the Spaatz award.  He is the first one to achieve this since 2006.  Next time you see him, be sure to congratulate him on this accomplishment.  Be sure to also wish him luck at the Naval Academy this coming school year.
